WALDORF, Maryland – The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is trying to identify the suspects involved in pepper spraying employees at a cosmetics company as the suspects attempted to exit the store after stealing a significant amount of merchandise. On September 28 shortly after 5 p.m., a group of women walked into a beauty product business in the 3000 block of Waldorf Market Place and attempted to steal a significant amount of merchandise. As they were running out of the store, one of the suspects sprayed pepper spray on the employees who were trying to stop them. The suspects fled in a white KIA passenger car with temporary license plates. Injured employees were treated for exposure to the spray.
