Henkel Beauty Care Retail’s New Logistics and Warehousing in the UK Promotes Greater Sustainability


THE WHAT? Henkel is advancing its sustainability and digitization strategy with the expansion of a supply chain partnership with DHL in the UK.

THE DETAILS Henkel works with DHL Supply Chain in EMEA, APAC and the Americas and is currently working on 59 digitization projects and 79 sustainability projects globally.

DHL will stock an average of 7,500 pallets and handle the shipment of approximately 140 million cases and 6,000 orders per year, across 300 color, care and styling SKUs.

Manton Wood’s new COMAH site, which has achieved a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating, includes rainwater harvesting, solar panels for water heating and motion-sensing and time-delayed LED lights.

According to Henkel, “The site’s strategic location and DHL’s shared transport network will also create a significant reduction in miles traveled and therefore carbon emissions.”
